Warvik, Ri (WPRI) – Workers of a road island grocery store were surprised to find a bright colored crustacean in their latest seafood.
The extremely rare “Golden Lobster” was first seen by a seafood manager at Dave’s fresh marketplace in Warwick.
Susan Buddhaong, a Dave spokesman, told the WPRI The Seafood Manager of Nexstar “immediately knew” that the grocery store should not sell the lobster.
Buddhalong said that the grocery shop reached her seafood supplier in Massachusetts, who kept her in touch Biomus Marine Biology Center In North Kingstown, Road Island.
Since then the special lobster has been donated to the North Kingstown Aquarium.

Biome is also home to a rare “powder blue lobster”. WPRI approached the biome about his latest resident, but has not heard back yet.
