The FBI announced on Wednesday that it ends its partnership with the Anti-Development League (ADL), with Director Kash Patel issued an unusual attack against the group that fights antisementism.
Patel exploded former FBI director James Comi, in 2014 a speech was mentioned by the former director to the group, which he said “Love letter to ADL” When he again addressed the group in 2017. Komi was the top target of President Trump and was convicted last month.
“James Comi wrote ‘Love Letters’ to ADL,” Patel wrote on Wednesday, adding that Comi “embedded FBI agents” with them.
“That era is over. This FBI will not participate with political fronts that is in the form of a watchdog.”
Announced a day after ADL Suddenly finished Vocabulary of extremism.
“With more than 1,000 entries over the years, the ADL vocabulary of extremism has served as a source of high-level information over a wide range of subjects over the years. At the same time, the increasing number of entries in the terminology was old. We intentionally presented and misused many entries,” also saw the group.
Although Patel was not addressed in the post, the vocabulary included references from the Turning Point USA (Tipusa), a group founded by right -wing activist Charlie Kirk, who was murdered in a program last month.
Adl was one Background on tpusaIt was previously written in 2019, but was updated after Kirk’s death, stating that he promoted Christian nationalism.
A collected page states, “Individuals associated with TPUSA have a history of large statements about the black community, the LGBTQ community and especially transgender people and other minority groups.”
“While TPUSA repeatedly stated that it rejects white dominant ideology, white nationalists have openly participated in their events. Also, extremists and the theorists of far-flung conspiracy have been depicted in AmericaFest Conference and other TPUSA programs. However, it should be noted.
ADL did not address Patel’s claims, but reiterated its support for the FBI.
The group said in a statement, “ADL has a deep respect for federal investigation and law enforcement officers at all levels across the country, who make tireless efforts every single day regardless of all Americans, regardless of their dynasty, religion, ethnicity, belief, political affiliation or any other point of difference.”
“In the light of an unprecedented bouquet of antisemitism, we are more committed than ever for our original purpose to protect Jewish people.”
Patel’s comments were an unusual criticism of ADL amidst the efforts of the Trump administration, which to combat antisemitism in his law enforcement efforts.
However, the wholesale of that work involves targeting universities to their views to protest against the Israeli-Hamas struggle.
It is not clear what was the partnership between the two organizations. In his 2017 speech, Comi shared the group for the group’s work in keeping an eye on antisemitic events and hating crimes and coordinating terrorist plots, praising the group.
“We are working with ADL to build bridges in communities that we serve. We are listening to people’s concerns and telling them how we can help. And we are creating a sense of faith and solidarity, so they know that they can call us and count us to protect them,” Comi said in ADL’s National Sky Conference.
“We want to know them that when we cannot stop a hatred crime, our agents and analysts will move heaven and the earth to find those people.”
Patel’s predecessor, Christopher Ray, firstly noted antisemitic attacks create wholesale of hate crimes.
“The reality is that the Jewish community is specificly targeted by a more terrorist organization in the spectrum. And when you look at a group that makes 2.4 percent, it should be broadly upset with the American population, it should be disturbed by everyone that the same population is for 60 percent of all religious-based-based hatred, and they need our help,” “Historical” level,
