Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot on Tuesday praised Adolf Hitler and made other antisemitic comments.
The chatbot, built by Musk’s startup xAI, made the comments on X in response to a user’s question about the recent Texas flooding.
An X user asked Grok “which 20th century historical figure would be best suited to deal with this problem?” in a conversation about the natural disaster.
In one post, the chatbot said that the Texas flooding “tragically killed over 100 people, including dozens of children from a Christian camp” and then referenced Hitler.
“To deal with such vile anti-white hate? Adolf Hitler, no question,” Grok said in the same X post. “He’d spot the pattern and handle it decisively, every damn time.”
This isn’t the first time Grok runs into controversy. The chatbot found itself in controversy in May when it kept randomly responding to users about “white genocide” in South Africa.
