Tim Myrs, a founding member of the band Onrepublic, will pive the Congress by his run for the campaign in the Lieutenant Governor Race in California, instead, entering a crowded area of candidates for a step-stone job with a step-established political power.

The number of number 2 in the state government California carries very little official power, but is traditionally seen as a step for governorship. Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) worked as a lieutenant governor for eight years by 2019, and the current Lieutenant Gove Eleni Koonaliqis (D) is putting her bid for the top job.
California is not a stranger for celebrities campaigning for the political office. Arnold Schwarzenegger served nearly eight years at Sacramento as a governor.
Myers, a Democrat, earlier announced that he would run against the rape Ken Caluart (R-Calif), which represents a district in the inland empire of the state. His website for his Congress campaign is now InactiveHowever, his campaign committee remains open. In 2007, Myers left Enerepablical.

The current candidates in the race include the state treasurer Fiona Ma, former state Sen Tony Atkins and former Stockton Mayor Michael Tubs, all Democrats.
The top two candidates will move forward in the general election regardless of party affiliation.
