Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) spoke of “a new era for New York City” at the inauguration of fellow progressive New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani on Thursday. “This climb marks a new era for New York City, led by a historic new Mayor Zohran Mamdani, guided by his dedication to the working class that runs our beautiful city,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
