Obama endorses Newsom's redistricting plan in California

Former President Obama on Wednesday supported the California Gavarn Gavin Newsom (D) Refrigeration Scheme in California, calling it a smart and measured approach.

Obama wrote in a post on the social platform X, “Long, we should not be politically in America, which is a better idea based on a fair fight between Republican and Democrats.”

“But since Texas is taking direction from a partial White House and in the middle of a decade to maintain and maintain the House despite its unpopular policies in the middle of a decade, Governor Newsomum has given tremendous respect for this,” he said. “He pursues a smart, measured approach in California, which is designed to solve a particular problem at a particular time.”

Obama’s public statement comes on Tuesday after praising the newsmom’s plan in front of a Martha’s Wineyard, Mass., Funderizer.

The former President said, “We are only going to do so and when Texas and/or other Republican states begin to pull these exercises. Otherwise, this does not apply,” the former President said.

Newsom, who is considered a potential 2028 presidential contender, returned the Republican Relating efforts in Texas earlier this month, when he called upon the MPs of California to come up with ways to skirt the state’s redistribution rules and even produced a more favorable map for the democrats for the playground.

The Governor of California announced plans for voters to make a special election in November earlier this month, which will allow Democrats to be mainly passed to pass a new house map before 2026 midttes in Blue State to approve a ballot measure.

On Tuesday, the California Republican sued the state in an attempt to prevent the state legislature from considering the law, which would allow Newsom to proceed with a special election.
