Former North Carolina Governor Jim Hunt (D) died on Thursday at the age of 88. “It is with deep sadness that I share the passing of my beloved father and hero, former Governor Jim Hunt,” his daughter, current Lieutenant Governor Rachel Hunt (D), wrote in a statement on the social platform X.
