While Atlanta has played close games with elite AFC teams in consecutive weeks (including a 24-23 loss to the Patriots in Week 9), that’s hardly any consolation. Atlanta’s defense gained 519 total yards on Sunday. The Falcons’ offense has been poor most of the season, including 3 of 29 on third downs in the last three games and the defense breaking down under pressure late in Berlin. The schedule gets easier for Atlanta, but nothing is easier for this team.

Patience is a virtue and Las Vegas will need plenty of it.
