Most Americans say that the policies of President Trump have not yet improved their lives in their second term. A new AP-NORC survey,
In the pole, in this last weekend, 49 percent of the respondents say that Trump’s policies have made him more to hurt, while 22 percent say the policies have not made much difference in their lives.
Only 27 percent of Americans say that Trump’s policies have done more to help them.
There is a rigorous biased division in the way the effects of Trump’s policies.
Most Independents – 53 percent – say that policies have more to hurt them than helping them, while 22 percent say policies have made no difference in their lives. Twenty percent say that policies have done more to help.
Most Republicans say at 55 percent, policies have done more to help them, but 30 percent say policies have no physical effect on their lives, while 15 percent say that policies have done more to hurt them.
Democrats’ vast majority say policies have negatively affected them, there is no difference with only 14 percent and 4 percent said that policies have helped them.
Trump’s approval rating on every issue included in the AP-NORC survey is less than 50 percent, with approval of Trump’s performance on about 40 percent of the economy and approving 43 percent immigration.
While Trump’s performance on the economy has been stable in recent months, his immigration has come down by 49 percent in March.
In the survey, Americans consider Trump to a large extent effective – with about 60 percent of it, saying that he is either very or somewhat “capable of achieving things.” But only 42 percent says Trump is extremely or somewhat “understands the problems faced by people like you.”
The pole consists of 1,437 adults and was held on 10–14 July. The margin of the error is 3.6 percentage points.
