More than 1,000 current and former employees of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) are demanding that Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Junior resigned, after his expulsion by the Director of Disease Control and Prevention Center and other works, he says “the health of the nation is compromising.”
“Should they be rejected to resign, we ask the President and the US Congress to appoint a new secretary of health and human service, whose ability and experience ensures that the health policy is informed by independent and fair colleague-review science.

Since the release of the letter on August 20, an additional 887 HHS employees have signed, according to the organizing group Save HHS. The group said that Kennedy did not respond to the letter; HHS issued a statement in which he was accused of politicizing the tragedy.

“We believe that the health policy should be based on strong, evidence-based principles rather than partisan politics. But under the leadership of Secretary Kennedy, HHS policies are putting at risk of all Americans, regardless of their politics,” the letter states.
Employees insisted that they signed the letter in their personal abilities, and some remained anonymous “out of fears of vengeance and out of danger for personal safety.”
