More resources and collaboration needed to support prevention and treatment of obesity

Barriers to obesity prevention and treatment, including limited access to healthy foods, limited time for meal preparation and exercise, neighborhood factors, weight stigma, and financial barriers, are more likely to affect people in low-income communities, according to a new scientific statement from the American Heart Association published in Circulation.
