Stephen Miran, president of the White House Council of Economic Advisors, praised the tariff deal between the United States and Vietnam, called it “extremely unilateral”.

While he said that he remains optimistic that he would secure “many deals” this week, he praised the US deal with Vietnam.
“Vietnam deal was fantastic,” he said. “This is extremely unilateral. We get to apply an important tariff for Vietnamese exports. They are opening our markets, you know, apply zero tariffs for our exports. This is a great deal for Americans.”
