Openai Researcher Jason Wei Meta will join the new Superintendent Lab, Report WireCiting two sources familiar with the case. Another team member, Hyung won Chung, may also join the meta.
Sources told Wired that both the internal openi slack profiles of the researchers are currently inactive.
Wei and Chung Meta will be the latest Grabb as CEO Mark Zuckerberg worked to hold the race for AGI, or Superintendent, which entice the top technical talent with compensation packages.
Wei’s main focus in Openai was O3 and deep research model. He came to the chatter-maker after working Chain-off-three research On Google. Overlap with Wei in Google, Chung worked on the O1 model of deep research and Openai. His research focuses on arguments and agents.
Sources told Wired that the two had a close working relationship, which is why Zuckerberg scooped both of them. Like the Draftters of World War II in the UK, they seem to be a penchet to bring them to groups that have worked together.
