Meta is halting its plans to sell its Ray-Ban Display Glasses outside the US due to “unprecedented demand and limited supply,” the company said. Said On Tuesday. Meta originally planned to launch the glasses in France, Italy, Canada, and the UK in early 2026.
“Since launching last fall, we have seen a tremendous amount of interest, and as a result, the product waiting list now extends to 2026,” the company said. “Due to this unprecedented demand and limited inventory, we have decided to pause our planned international expansion.”
Meta says it will continue to focus on fulfilling US orders while it reevaluates its approach to international availability.
Unveiled In September, Meta Ray-Ban Display smart glasses are controlled by a wristband called Meta Neural Band, which detects subtle hand gestures.
At CES in Las Vegas this week, Meta showed off the glasses and new features coming to the Neural Band. The glasses are getting a new teleprompter feature that gives users a portable way to deliver prepared comments. Additionally, users can now compose messages using their finger on any surface while wearing the Meta Neural Band and transcribe those actions into digital messages.
Meta is also expanding pedestrian navigation in Denver, Las Vegas, Portland and Salt Lake City.
