In a highly anticipated Elite Eight matchup between the No. 9 and No. 3 seeds (and conference rivals), there were a total of six players from the Kansas City area. Iowa had five on its roster – Sturtz, Tavian Bank, cam manyavu, joey matteoni And isiah howard — and Illinois had one — Keaton Wagler.
