The man was detained on Tuesday and interrogated in connection with Nancy Guthrie The investigation revealed … told reporters on her doorstep in Rio Rico, Arizona that she didn’t even know who Nancy was until police pulled her over.

He says he was immediately detained – for hours – but was only asked basic identification questions and asked about his recent whereabouts.
It is Carlos who says that he was captured by the police and charged with kidnapping #NancyGuthrie.
They have released him.

Carlos, a delivery driver for GLS and DoorDash, claims he was mostly kept in the dark during his stay with authorities, but insists he had nothing to do with the crime and doesn’t even know who Nancy’s famous daughter is, Savannah GuthrieThis is because he does not stay updated with the news. He says that he felt as if he himself had been kidnapped.

He also accused police of breaking the front door and damaging the garage door of his house – where he lives with his mother-in-law and wife – when they broke in during the day to search. Last line…he wants his name cleared.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Tuesday evening that they were conduct a court authorized search at the residence, which is located less than 15 miles from the Port of Nogales, a major US-Mexico border crossing. Carlos’s mother-in-law told reporters at the time that she had no involvement in Nancy’s disappearance.
As of Wednesday morning, Carlos is free to continue his daily life, and the investigation continues. DoorDash released a statement Wednesday night saying, in part… “We have reached out to law enforcement and stand ready to support their important investigation in any way we can.”
This shocking development came just hours after we broke the news bitcoin account activity listed in first ransom note he was sent. As we told you, the kidnapper demanded $6 million in ransom and in return promised that Nancy would be returned to her family within 12 hours.

Savannah and her family confirm to Nancy’s kidnappers via online video that they are willing to work with them… but both ransom deadlines have passed with no resolution.
Earlier on Tuesday, the FBI released the first photos and video of Nancy’s alleged abductor … showing the masked man standing at her front door and trying to pry her out of her Nest camera.
Nancy was reported missing A week earlier on February 1st… a few hours after his family dropped him home after having dinner together.
She is 84 years old, has mobility problems and requires daily medication.
