Joe Kent’s resignation from a key intelligence post in the Trump administration has focused attention on a small but vocal section of right-wing figures who believe Israel dragged President Trump into war with Iran. Before his resignation last week, Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, insisted Iran faced “no imminent threat.”
