The House Ethics Committee found “substantial reason to believe” that Representative Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-Fla.) violated numerous laws, regulations and standards of conduct during her time as a member of Congress, according to a report released by the panel Thursday. The report said the House Ethics Committee’s investigative subcommittee is “bringing charges” against Cherfilas-McCormick related to campaign finance laws and regulations, criminal.
