Actor Jon Cryer said Sunday he’s proud to be part of the “resistance cringe” after being shown in the background of a news photo of the “No Kings” protests this weekend.

The image depicts a group of people holding pro-democracy signs and American flags and surrounds a giant banner depicting a scroll with the words “We the People” in large print, followed by the Preamble to the Constitution.
“That’s it,” Cryer wrote in his post.
He added, “This photo is the one The Atlantic chose to depict the resistance crisis, and I couldn’t be happier to be a part of it.”
Cryer also included the original photo with zoomed-in versions, showing him standing next to a giant “We the People” banner and holding an American flag. He also included another photo of himself at the protest.
Cryer was responding to a post by Leah Greenberg, who shared The Atlantic article and wrote, “Oh yes, we’re hoppunk, we’re making Star Wars references, we’re cringemaxing.”
He said, “Taking care of stuff sucks so much that it’s cool again, get ready.”
