Jacksonville, Fla. – During a scrimpus last Friday night under lights at Everbank Stadium, Jacksonville jaguar Ruki receiver Travis Hunter Jogging out of the field, waited for a play, and then moved towards the opposite sideline. He removed his Chaiti number 12 jersey and put it in a white counterpart.
After five plays, he jogged back to the field and stood in line on cornerback.
Those moments first played both the edges of the ball during an NFL practice. He catches four for 43 yards on 17 aggressive snaps and played 21 Snaps on defense. This will become a regular phenomenon as Jaguar continues to prepare for NFL’s first regular two-way players since the 1960s.
And so far, everything is planning to exactly Jaguar – and Hunter.
“They really trust me,” said Hunter. “They put a lot on my plate, but I just have to go out of there and continue attacking the work they give me.”
A lot of work has been done. In addition to scramage, Hunter is particularly practiced on one side of the ball or on the other. During the period of special teams, however, he works with coaches from the other side, and he has moved between aggressive and defensive meetings.
It is a schedule that coach Liam Koen and employees have made careful plans.
Defense coordinator Anthony Campalnail said, “One period, he can be with us, the next period, he is with them.” “A few days, he can start on defense, then he is working [on] Crime. They have done a really good job with it, and I think Liam has done a great job. ,
Through a two-week training camp, Hunter has well handed over his two-way role. His partner and coach praise mental and physical commitment that he has brought in his unique role. His next step? To find out how to do both in NFL game. His first glimpse may come against the first Presiden Game (ET) before Saturday. Pittsburg steelers,
“This is demanding on him, but he replied in every way,” said Campanil.
Hunter practiced Every day on both sides of the ball in Colorado, but he said that he prefers to start the chanting outlook on a crime in spring and then gives them a defensive day in the camp before relaxing a rotating role in practices. Learning to know both crime and defense is mentally much harder than the physical part of playing in ways.
Hunter said, “You have two playbooks and you have different conditions every day.”
Are there moments when it is a little uncertain or confused on the field? Of course, but “every crook feels that,” cornerback Jersedan Lewis Said.
“He is just so comfortable,” said Lewis. “He is convinced what he does. He knows the spotlight on him. He just goes out of there and handles the business.”
Hunter has particularly worked in the outside corner, and at this point, there is no plan to go inside the nickel, a place that will play Lewis when Jaguar will have a five defensive bench on the ground.
Receiver Brian Thomas JRHunter is the largest area of development as he arrived as number 2 picks, he has been in his knowledge of crime.
Thomas said, “Being able to go there and carry out the plays and to know Ins and Out,” Thomas said. “Just being in your playbook, learning the playbook, knowing what he has, does not have a second guess or think twice he has what he has. It’s probably the biggest thing.”
Although Hunter played both in his three sessions in the college in both ways, he had some concern about overloading. But this did not happen, Campanil said.
“You see him doing extra work here [secondary coach Ron Milus] And [defensive backs coach Anthony Perkins]Therefore, he is actually taking advantage of the time at the time of meeting and on-field time with them, “Campali said.” I get them from the feet or get the walk-the-three. He is really focusing a great job. ,

Hunter hook With quarterbacks Trevor laurence Recently for a touchdown in a red zone drill, jumping and reaching the Lewis to illuminate the ball in the end field and still both legs are getting in the range. Lewis had good coverage, but Hunter made a big time on the ball.
It is one of the things about Hunter that stands out for cornerback Tyson campbell,
“Just how quickly he is and how shift he is,” said Campbell. “He reaches his place and the trevor is capable of putting it anywhere, and he is athletic that is enough to reach out and get it.
“His ball skill is definitely something that catches your eye.”
After the scribe, Kenen said: “I mean, you guys saw it. Space is very good, is it not that?”
It is not surprising that Hunter is good with the ball in his hands. He won the HeSmen Trophy last season after catching 15 touchdown pass and intercepting four passes. However, despite the average of 113.9 snaps per game for Buffalo in 2024, their level of conditioning still shocks its peers and coaches.
“This is incredibly rare,” said aggressive coordinator Grant Udinski. “I don’t know that I have seen something like this earlier, with that level of conditioning. Obviously, he expects to do something that I have not seen by any other player who has not seen any of us before. It is once again a will for our work, his training in summer in summer, is able to come here and do so.
“This is hot. There is no joke. Here people are struggling just to do one, and he is doing many things, mentally, physically different things. It is a will for their work. Conditioning is definitely clear.”
Lewis described Hunter’s conditioning level as “separate”.
Louis said, “Many times people get tired on one side of the ball and he is focusing his energy on both sides of the ball.” “It’s going to be difficult, especially being the first time in NFL, but I think he has.
“He has to do this.”
Joe Hunter has been telling everyone since the end of his college career.
“It likes, I am already doing all this extra work,” said Hunter. “You are going to tell me that I can’t do what I am doing and showing you? … I am just going silent and going to work.”
Saturday’s presiden opener The most anticipated Presiden game since the team’s inaugural presence opener against Carolina in 1995 against Steelers at Everbank Stadium is because of Hunter.
Coenen has not yet announced whether Hunter will play on both sides of the ball and how long, but after doing so, Kenen said “mock game” last week, it is rational that Hunter Will.
Jaguar needs to undergo the mechanics of Hunter which is the missing time on the sideline. For example, the crime will be found with coaches and will talk through adjustment, while the defense is on the field, but if the Hunter is on the field on the field, do he have enough time to absorb those changes before going back to the ground with crime?
This may fall for their position coach – Edgar Bennett – when the Hunter returns to the sideline, to give him a crash course. And the same when it is flipped and he remembers defensive adjustments with Milus and Perkins.
Good thing: At least he will not have to change his jersey, which will buy him a few minutes.
It is also a matter of how much Hunter has to play in Presen. Game representatives are valuable for miscreants, but they will probably get more because they would be playing in both ways.
But, as Konen has repeatedly said, it is important how they treat Hunter, and they will continue to do so.
