Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Todd Lyons said on Wednesday that there will be more immigration arrests in New York City after protesters clashed with agents during an operation.
“You will see an increase in ICE arrests because a lot of criminals and illegal aliens have been released, especially in New York,” Lyons. Said in an interview with Fox News,
“You will see us making criminal arrests to make New York safe again. It’s certainly intelligence-driven, it’s not random,” Lyons said. “We are not taking people off the street. There was a specific reason based on criminal intelligence and criminal activity that we showed on Canal Street.”
