Huawei announces new AI infrastructure as Nvidia gets locked out of China

Tech giant Huawei unveiled the new AI infrastructure, which allows the company to help promote compute power and better competition with rival chipmaker NVidia.

In a keynote speaker at his Huawei Connect Conference On Thursday, Shenzhen, China -based Huawei announced the new superpod interconnect technology, which may be associated with 15,000 graphics cards, including Huawei’s ascending AI chips to increase compute power together.

This technique appears to be a competitor for Nvidia Nvlink Infrastructure, which facilitates high speed communication between AI chips.

Such technology is important for Huawei to better compete better with semiconductors such as Nvidia. While Huawei’s AI chips are less powerful than Nvidia, being able to cluster together will provide its users access to more calculation power, which is necessary to train and score the AI system.

This news also comes after a day China banned domestic technology companies From buying NVIDIA hardware, NVIDIA’s RTX Pro is designed for the market, especially in China, including the 600D server.
