Lawrence gets the grill after the Jaguars’ 41-7 win tennessee titans On Sunday. The gift was inspired by a viral AI photo of a Jaguars quarterback with a grill in his mouth as well as an iced-out Jaguar chain.
But a question arose: If the gift was meant to be a surprise, how come the measurements of his teeth were correct?
Former running back Darian Rancher, Lawrence’s teammate at Clemson, coordinated the surprise with Trevor’s wife, Marissa; Trevor’s mother; And Jaguar’s social team.
According to Rencher, after the AI photo went viral, he wanted to find a way to give Lawrence custom mouth jewelry as long as the QB remained healthy, performed well and led the Jaguars to a winning season.
If any one of the three does not happen, they will withhold the surprise. But Lawrence finished the regular season with 4,007 passing yards and 29 touchdowns, helping the Jaguars to a 13–4 record.
Rancher found Jacksonville-based jeweler, Tizzy Tha God, to create the grill.
Typically, grills require the jeweler to take a mold of a customer’s teeth to create custom jewelry. Instead, the jeweler requested a 3-D scan of Lawrence’s teeth to create the grill.
Rancher reached out to Marissa and then Lawrence’s mother, who connected Rancher to Trevor’s dentist in Cartersville, Georgia, who agreed to overnight the jeweler a 3-D scan of the quarterback.
On Sunday, Lawrence threw for 255 passing yards for three touchdowns to help win the division title. Rancher worked with the Jaguars’ social media team to deliver a grill to the locker room, allowing the cornerback jarian jones Honored to present the gift to Lawrence.
In his post-game news conference, Lawrence speculated about how Grill fit in so well.
Lawrence told reporters, “I think my wife might have been involved in some way, taking measurements of my teeth or something because it fit.”
The third-seeded Jaguars will host buffalo bill in the wild-card round of the playoffs on January 11 at EverBank Stadium.
