
Honduras on Wednesday declared President Trump-backed candidate Nasri Asfura the winner of the presidential election, ending a week-long vote count that sparked international concern. The Conservative National Party candidate won the election held on November 30 with 40.27 percent of the vote, defeating Conservative Liberal Party candidate Salvador Nasralla, who received 39.53 percent of the vote.
