Homan says Chicago ‘absolutely’ should expect immigration enforcement this week

Trump Border Caesar Tom Homan said that Chicago and other sanctuary cities should expect to look at immigration enforcement action in the coming weeks.

“Absolutely,” Homan said on Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union”, when the enforcement action in Chicago was directly asked this week.

“You can expect action in most sanctuary cities across the country,” they continued. “President Trump’s priority sanctuary cities because the sanctuary city deliberately gives up illegal foreign public safety threats on the streets every day. This is the problem.

He said, “We do not have the problem in Florida where every sheriff and chief work for us, right or Texas, so we got to send additional resources to the problem areas, which are the sanctuary city,” he said.

Homan pushed back on the suggestion of Illinois village JB Pritzkar (D) that state officials have been informed about any upcoming enforcement action by the White House.

Homan said, “Governor Pritzkar has been informed from day one,” when asked if he would coordinate with the state and local authorities “an operation of this size in Chicago”.

“I went there and started an operation just after the inauguration,” he continued. “The ice agent has been flooding the zone in Chicago for some time, so they know what is going on. I mean, he knows that we are there. We were there last week. We were a week ago.”

Homan said that more resources will come in the near future and said, “National guards are always on the table.”

“Now, you know, again, we are going to send additional resources to all sanctuar cities. But this is not new to him. He knows that we are there. He has failed to work with us. The mayor, mayor, mayor, [Brandon] Johnson failed to work with us, “he said, referring to democratic officials.

Trump has Suggested in recent weeks This Chicago will be their next target for large -scale immigration enforcement operations.

He has increased the danger since then. On Saturday, the President posted an artificial image of his equality as a law enforcement officer. The background of the image included a portrayal of Chicago Burning, which was written with many helicopters and lessons, “Chipkalips Now” – 1979 film, a node for “Apocalypse Now”.

The President wrote, “I love the smell of exile in the morning … Chicago to find out why it is called the War Department,” the President wrote, named his recent executive order as the Defense Department.

Pritzkar fired back in a social media post, wrote, “The United States presidents are threatening to go to war with an American city. It’s not a joke. It’s not normal.”

“Donald Trump is not a strong man, he is a scared person,” he said. “Illinois will not be frightened by a Vanabe dictator.”
