Heat-Bulls game postponed due to condensation on court

game scheduled between Miami Heat And Chicago Bulls The court in Chicago was adjourned Thursday due to condensation.

United Center hosted chicago blackhawks After playing on ice on Wednesday, and an unseasonably warm, rainy day in Chicago, the basketball court was in no playable condition.

Players on both teams went through their standard pregame warmup routines but did not deem the court safe for the game.

After more than 90 minutes of futile attempts to fix the problem – which included turning on the arena’s air conditioning and cleaning the court with mops and large towels – the NBA league office, game officials and coaches from both teams decided on a postponement.

“Players were complaining about it on both sides,” Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. “We all went out there and immediately thought it was unplayable.”

A makeup date was not immediately announced Thursday night. The Heat currently have no plans to return to Chicago this season.

During the 2016–17 season, games in Minnesota and Philadelphia were postponed by condensation under similar circumstances: a hot day in a cold-weather city, followed by an event on ice on the field.
