National Economic Council (NEC) Director Kevin Hassett on Sunday praised the market’s reaction to Bloomberg’s report last week that Hassett is largely considered the frontrunner to replace Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. The president’s top economic adviser called the Bloomberg report a “rumor” in an interview on CBS News’ “Face the Nation.”
