Google launches its new video model Veo 3.1 with improved audio output, granular editing controls, and improved image to video output. It says that Veo is based on 3.1 May’s VO3 release Produces more realistic clips and follows cues better.
The model allows users to add an object to the video and blend it into the style of the clip, Google said. Soon, users will also be able to remove an existing object from a video in Flow.
Veo 3 already has editing features like adding reference images to play a character, rendering the first and last frames to generate clips using AI, and the ability to extend existing videos based on the last few frames. With Veo 3.1, Google is adding audio to all of these features to make clips more lifelike.
The company is launching this model for itself video editor flowGemini App, with Vertex and Gemini API. It said that since Flow’s launch in May, users have created more than 275 million videos on the app.
