“The best capability is availability,” Winston said recently.
The Giants (2-10) entered Monday night on a six-game losing streak. They are currently in the midst of a franchise-record 12-game losing streak.

“Well, we’re still having the same conversations we would have any other week,” Winston said Wednesday. “I think he’s stuck at that point. I mean, last week, man, he was determined to play. I’m grateful, but at the same time, I feel for him because I know how much he works, and I know how he prepares, and I just told him I support him. But we’re not doing anything different. We’re still having the same conversations. He’s still doing his job. “And hopefully this week he’ll be able to come back and help us win.”
