Berea, Ohio — On the verge of breaking the NFL’s single-season sack record, cleveland browns defensive end miles garrett Said it would be “special” to score a record-breaking takedown in Sunday’s domestic final pittsburgh steelers quarterback aaron rodgers,
Garrett, who has 22 sacks this season, is half a sack away from breaking the single-season record shared by Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and the Steelers edge rusher. tj wattAnd a full sack away from breaking the single-season mark.
,[Rodgers is] “I’m great myself, and this is a great record I’m chasing here,” Garrett said Friday. It would be great to put a picture on the wall.
In two career games against Rodgers, Garrett has failed to bring down the future Hall of Famer. This includes the first matchup of this season between the Browns and Steelers win 23-9 To Pittsburgh in Week 6.
However, Garrett has had recent success at home against the Steelers, recording five sacks in the last two games, both wins for the Browns.
“Myles Garrett has definitely been an issue for us at that position,” Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said. “I think in our last two trips he’s won against us five times, but we haven’t won in any of them. And so we understand the seriousness of what we’re going to do and how they win and who’s important in doing that. He’s on the doorstep of history, and so we definitely have respect for him.”
