French police arrest Russian basketball player accused of ransomware: report

French authorities have arrested a Russian professional basketball player, who is accused of being a member of the Rainswire Egans France-Press, as a member of the Ranmware Gang.

“He is useless with a computer. He cannot even install an app. He did not touch anything on this computer. It was either hacked, or sold by a hacker who wanted to pass himself as someone else.”
