Florida Quarterback DJ Lagway The Fall Camp will begin Saturday against the University of Long Island after dealing with the stress of the calf for the wholesale.
Gaters coach Billy Napier said during his weekly news conference on Monday that Lagway has been a complete partner in recent practices and will be started.
Legway first took a team representative a week before the camp started in July. To that point, he was limited to three weeks. After remembering the spring practice after sports hernia surgery, Lagway stressed her calf during offsen workouts.
Napier said that Lagway has “learned a lot about himself,” in dealing with injuries and frustrations to deal with them.
Napier said, “There are many times things that you cannot control, so whatever he is doing, there are opportunities to get better as a result.” “They have learned a lot about themselves. This will not be the first time he has passed something like this. You are going to play the game, so how do you manage that you manage that not only physically but mentally … it’s a challenge for him, but I think it is healthy for him.”
Lagway played as a true freshman last year, adding 101 yards to 1,915 yards and 12 to Touchdown, was leaving 6–1 as a gaters starter.
