Europe holds 7-point lead on U.S. entering Ryder Cup singles

Farmingdale, NY – Europe is on the verge of maintaining the Rider Cup after a major Saturday, leaving just 2.5 points from the United States victory in Bethpage Black.

Europeans took a lead of 8.5–3.5 after Fouration on Saturday morning, then took 11.5–4.5 lead in three of the four-goals in four afternoon.

Europe has won all four sessions through the first two days and now after 2012, it requires 2.5 marks out of Sunday’s 12 singles matches to win on US soil for the first time.

It is the largest leadership entering a singles in the history of the European team and the largest leadership enters by any road team in the history of Rider Cup.
