When asked about the money during the Climate Forward event of the New York Times on Wednesday, Energy Secretary Chris Wright said the fund “was not yet assigned to the projects” but their purpose was to subsidize more wind and solar energy, as well as electric vehicles.
The Trump administration has repeatedly sought to spend on renewable energy – and trying to accelerate fossil fuels and nuclear power – established obstacles obstructing its deployment.
