When you think of famous rock guitarists, eddie van halen Immediately comes to mind… and also their equally famous Kramer guitars – and one of those can now be yours… but only if you have very deep pockets!
That’s right…the late music pro’s striped 1985 Kramer Studio guitar is coming to auction GottaHaveRockAndRoll.com Starting from today till 13th March.
And the piece of guitar history is expected to fetch between $1,000,000 and $1,500,000, with a starting bid of $700,000.
Well, there’s a whole story behind this Van Halen guitar…Eddie gifted his prized possession to a gentleman named Michael GutierrezWho entered it in a contest during the NAMM Guitar Show in 1985.
The contest was titled, “One lucky winner will win one of Eddie Van Halen’s personally owned Kramer guitars.”
Over 100,000 people signed up for it, and, guess what… Gutierrez was the lucky winner! And get this…he’s also the consignor in the auction, meaning he’ll deliver the guitar to the highest bidder.
