Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (Sick) on Tuesday Joined his partner Democrats In the case associated with humiliated financer and guilty sexual criminal Jeffrey Epstein, calling for the release of federal files.
In an interview with CNN’s Kate Bolduan, No. 2 Senate Democrat said he wants to see “absolutely” Files released,
“Absolutely. Leader Jafrise is correct: either he misled American people for years with this conspiracy theory, or they are now covering it,” Durbin said while referring to the house minority leader Hakim Jeffrees (DN.Y.).
Jeffrees said on Monday that the Congress should intervene to force the Trump administration to release all Epstein files if the White House does not work on its own. He argued that there is no good reason for the Department of Justice to wrap those details unless the authorities have anything to hide – a veil node for speculation that Trump, who crossed the path with Epstein in the previous years, is in files.
“American people deserve to know the truth,” Jeffrees told reporters at Capital on Monday. “What, if anything, the Trump Administration and Justice Department is hidden?”
Epstein died in 2019 in Manhattan Jail Sale, where he was waiting for the trial after the arrest of minors for sex trafficking. But his case is crying a rally for the principals of right-wing conspiracy-many of them have alleged that the government is in possession of Epstein’s customer list, but has not issued it to protect the powerful “elite” in the government and high places of business.
Last week, however, Trump’s Department of Justice published a memorandum stating that the agency has no evidence that Epstein laid a customer list or tried to blackmail powerful figures, which may be engaged in illegal sexual activities.
Memo also confirmed its earlier conclusion that Epstein died of suicide, which pushed back the speculation of dishonesty.
Many Democrats are going to provoke anger in Trump’s base, Critical chorus joined Call for transparency and release of files.
In his Tuesday interview, Darbin said for the release of the files, “It really reaches the bottom line: let us see the truth to the American people.”
“Either they have something, and American people should see it, or they have nothing, and they have faced that embarrassment,” he said.
