Don’t be surprised if … McMillan scores his first TD, Judkins finishes top 3 in rush yards

Each week in the NFL has its own story – filled with surprises, both positive and negative – and fantasy Football To move forward, managers must decide who to trust and who not. Maybe we can help. Don’t be surprised if any of these ideas come true…!

Note: All mentions of fantasy points are for PPR formats unless otherwise noted.

When it comes down to it, let the doubters keep doubting tampa bay buccaneers cubby Baker MayfieldHe finished last season as fantasy’s No. 4 QB lamar jackson, josh allen And joe burroTwo of those teammates would not repeat their feat due to injury. Mayfield enters Sunday’s game san francisco 49ers Third behind Allen in points among QBs. patrick mahomesAnd the Bucs’ amazing rookie WR emeka egbuka Already a star.

Don’t be surprised if… Mayfield and Egbuka each rank second at their positions in fantasy scoring this season

I must admit I’m a little surprised by Mayfield’s slow rankings on ESPN and other sites this week. What else do we need to see to rank it better? Mayfield isn’t accumulating as many passing yards or touchdown passes as he did last season, but throwing just one interception in five games is significant. The Egbuka addition has been crucial. Mayfield’s yards per attempt are up, and Egbuka is one of three wide receivers averaging 20 PPR points per game. It all looks durable.

The 49ers are in the middle of the pack in giving up fantasy points to quarterbacks and wide receivers, so expect another great performance from this duo. How about this: Expect greatness every week! Some may want to toss Egbuka’s name in fantasy trades since he is a veteran mike evans (Hamstring) Should be back in the lineup soon. No, it makes things better for everyone. Who can stop this offense with Egbuka, Evans? chris godwin jrAnd two solid running backs? Trade with confidence for Mayfield and Egbuka.

Other QB ideas that shouldn’t be a surprise:

  • Why wouldn’t the great Mahomes finish as fantasy’s No. 2 QB over Mayfield (assuming Josh Allen is first)? The running numbers are great, but unlike Allen, they don’t seem sustainable. The 30-year-old Mahomes has never rushed for 400 yards or surpassed four rushing touchdowns in a season. He is currently rushing for 646 rushing yards and double-digit touchdown runs. This may not be what the chiefs want. RB isia pacheco And Kareem Hunt They probably can’t turn around their normal (best) season, and maybe it’s not all their fault, but let’s look at a trade! of saints Alvin Kamara Would look good in a Chiefs uniform, wouldn’t he?

  • No one would recommend the new one cincinnati bengals cubby Joe Flacco Even in a superflex league, but I still don’t understand why this offense would struggle at that level with backups. jake browningThe offensive line must improve, giving Flacco proper playing time and opening up holes for RBs. chase brownFlacco, 40, is at least more accurate than Browning, and he still throws a good deep ball. t higgins There won’t be a WR5 after this week. He’s a guy for Flacco and fantasy managers to target. jammer chase And Higgins is the highest paid WR pair in football, so get them the ball! It also says something that the Bengals made the deal for Flacco, not the Giants backup Russell Wilson Or jameis winstonCertainly the giants may be different from one another.

  • from seattle Sam Darnold Averaged 16.3 fantasy points per game, 21st among quarterbacks. OK, so that’s not great, but if we remove Week 1 vs. the 49ers, it’s 19.06 PPG. Darnold averaged 18.1 points last season minnesota vikingsRanked 11th, and everyone admired and trusted him. I’m not saying Darnold ends up being a borderline QB1 this season, but I’m definitely thinking about it as a top-5 WR in this offense. Jackson Smith-NjigbaA pair of solid running backs and an underrated tight end in aj barnerVery.

Judkins missed Week 1 due to his contract status and injury, and has since converted 18 rushes per game into 87 rushing yards per game. There aren’t many people who can step back from this volume and production. Judkins, still available in more than 10% of ESPN standard leagues (how is that possible?), appears to be a better bet than las vegas raiders Cheater ashton jeanty To sum up the numbers, though, I like Jeanty and I think she has a big week six. Judkins certainly gets a chance to run behind a better O-line, and he is averaging 4.8 yards per rush. He breaks the tackle. He is older than Jeanty. Judkins is a safer RB1.

Other RB ideas that shouldn’t be a surprise:

  • until i see carolina panthers Definitely share the ongoing back touch between healthy people Chuba Hubbard and newcomer Rico DowdleI guess I really wouldn’t believe it. Hubbard (calf) may or may not play this week. Dowdle ran all over the weakling miami dolphins For 206 yards and a touchdown in Week 5. Doesn’t this say something else about dolphins? Everyone and their mail carrier added Dowdle this week, as if his 32.4 points would become a regular occurrence. He definitely has a desire for revenge against his former team dallas cowboysThis week, and again, not a great defense at all. Dowdle should do well! However, after this week, be cautious here.

  • it stinks los angeles chargers Cheater Omarion Hampton (Ankle) is out until November, but I don’t think we can assume a backup hassan haskins Or Kimani Vidal Repeat his performance. In fact, it may end up looking like a largely irrelevant timeshare in Kansas City. If I had to choose between them, I would go with Haskins. it reminds me of Arizona CardinalsWhere? michael carter He must bring his team’s attention near the goal line imari demercadoHaskins is probably the one in this situation.

Don’t be surprised if…Carolina Panthers WR tetaroa macmillan This week has been very vertical on the Dallas Cowboys

McMillen is averaging 11.8 fantasy points per game, which isn’t particularly noteworthy, but more people will pay attention if he scores a touchdown or two. Entering Week 6, McMillen has the second-most points among WRs without a touchdown (two) new England Patriots Veterinarian stefon diggs), and for most receivers, the touchdown may be arbitrary. This is a sad turnaround against the Cowboys secondary. McMillan ranks seventh among WRs in targets, as no other Panthers are stealing from him. This is MacMillan’s show. The Cowboys can’t stop it. As far as newcomers go, McMillan isn’t Egbuka, but if QB bryce young Develops a bit more, he should be a WR2 option.

Other WR/TE ideas that shouldn’t be a surprise:

  • Speaking of Diggs, it was great to see him light up his former team buffalo billon Sunday night, but I doubt he’ll keep going at an 85% catch rate for long. Although his yards per catch are up from last season, Diggs looks to be nothing but a game breaker. Last season’s ACL tear isn’t blowing up much. Of course, week 1 favorite kayshon boute There hasn’t been much done since then, so it looks like Diggs will get all the volume he wants, and it might be enough. Still, I think TE hunter henryMore of a red zone option, will eventually lead drake may Pass-catching option in PPR points.

  • One reason I’m ranked Washington Commanders cubby jayden daniels As the No. 1 QB this week – over Mayfield and Los Angeles Rams ace Matthew Stafford (with matchup of the week against Baltimore Ravens) — Should he be able to throw for as many yards as he wants Chicago BearsThis is good news for Western Railway deebo samuelwho is achieving almost all goals without Terry McLaurin (quad), and while most are short passes, he is thriving after the catch. It should be another big week for him. Perhaps MacLaurin would be a good fit, but it would be hard to trust him.

  • indianapolis colts Cheater tyler warren Leads tight ends with 307 receiving yards. of buffalo Dalton Kincaid The second-place finisher is only 20 yards behind, and he has several more touchdown grabs. They have the same amount of fantasy points. Why is Warren ranked in the top 5 every week, but Kincaid is barely in the top 20? Look, I like Warren too, but Kincaid needs more love. He leads the Bills in receiving yards, and by a lot!

  • Doesn’t look like the 49ers will have a TE george kittel this week, but Jake Tonges Much more of a sleeper option against a Buccaneers defense that allowed multi-touchdown games to tight ends (Philly’s) dallas goedertfrom seattle aj barner) during the last fortnight. Tight end is fun this season, and it sometimes goes 20 deep, whereas last season, it was hard to find 10 reasonable options some weeks. You may not need to stream Tongue, but you can.
