Edwin Diaz will not receive its full $69 million from Los Angeles Dodgers By 2047, with close deal Delayed payment obligations due to nine players for the two-time World Series champions increased to more than a billion dollars.

Diaz, who gets a $9 million signing bonus on Feb. 1, gets a $14 million salary next year and $23 million in each of the next two seasons. The Dodgers will pay $4.5 million annually, paid in 10 equal installments each July 1.
The 2026 tranche will be payable from 2036 to 2045, the 2027 tranche from 2037-46 and the 2028 tranche from 2038-47.
The bulk of the Dodgers’ deferred money is owed to Ohtani, who will receive $680 million in payments from 2034 to 2043. Bates is next, with $115 million in salary from 2033 to 2044 and the final $5 million of his signing bonus due 2033-35.
He is followed by Snell ($66 million 2035-46), Freeman ($57 million 2028-40), Smith ($50 million 2034-43), Hernandez ($32 million 2030-39), Edman ($25 million 2037-44) and Scott ($21 million 2035-46).
