A coalition of Democratic MPs is starting an investigation into the “dangerous border”, in which the government’s efficiency department (DOGE) employees have embedded themselves in agencies across the government.
The MPs have written in a letter to Management and Budget (OMB) and Officer Management (OBM), “Although Elon Musk has departed, because it has an impact, because Dogi and his employees try to be a permanent part of the federal government, which are scattered in agencies where they can continue to sabotage the major works from within,”
“Conversion of DOGE appointments for career’s federal service roles – even most agencies are under a hiring freeze – potentially can conduct laws that clearly prohibited to hiring political ideas and loyal tests. In addition, it is not clear that they are responsible for new embedded dogs and if they actually work.”
The investigation conducted by Sen Elizabeth Warren (D-Mas) was launched in relation to Richard BlueMeMM and House Oversite and Government Reform Committee Ranking Member Robert Garcia (D-Calif).
The OPM pushed back, saying that any Dogi employees who are in their scheduled agencies have done so, because political appointments have been used in the form of political appointments, not as career employees, while taking into account the procedure to infection from one to another.
OPM Director Scott Kupper said in a statement, “Civil service hiring the Civil Service Hiring process is wrong. Office of the Merit System of OPM reviews accountability and compliance that the merit system reviews all the requests to appoint current or reality for the current or reality roles for compliance with civil service laws.”
“In addition, all federal rental checks on the required background, morality review and suitability are screening. Any persons associated with Dogi have not ‘illegally buried’ in career roles. We welcome the oversite based in facts.”
Cits the letter NPR check From June, it was found that many DOGE roles had turned into permanent jobs within the government. It also notes that some dogy personnel infected with roles in the form of “special government employees”, which are time-limited, for “full-time federal workers”.
The MPs asked the agency for several details about Dogi, including the total number of Dogi employees with a breakdown, a list that they report and have someone hired for “competitive federal positions”. It also asks if someone was reviewed for possible struggles of interest before hiring as special government employees.
