Cooper: Washington lawmakers 'taking food out of the mouths of hungry children'

Former Northern Carolina Gove Roy Cooper (D) on Monday accused MPs at Washington, DC of “taking food from the mouths of hungry children”, as they gear for a thick race in Tar Heel State.

In his show, Cooper told MSNBC’s Rachel Madwow, “There are a lot of bad things coming from Washington, which hurt the middle class and hurt people who are trying to live in the middle class and are dreaming, away from them, distanced health care, distanced the health care, the tax break for the rich and a pitcher for them,”

“Time and time again, we are seeing that Washington is hurting people everyday, taking food out of the mouth of hungry children,” he said.
