The second day of the shutdown of the US Capital Sarkar was calm as either votes have not been determined in the chamber in adherence to Jewish Holiday Yom Kippur.
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) Organized a press conference in a massive vacant house at 10 am outside his office with members of his leadership team.
The Senate is going to meet in the afternoon.
A Senate GOP colleague said that no formal meetings are scheduled for the day, although some senators are talking to each other over the phone during the holiday.
The next Senate votes will be held on Friday, when the Senate will re -vote on a resolution to further the alternative Senate Democratic continuous resolution to fund the government by 31 October.
The Senate will vote on a procedural proposal to carry forward the funding government measures by 21 November.
Both movements require 60 votes to succeed and both are expected to fail.
Government funding ended at midnight. 1 October.
