The California Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed a petition filed by the State Republican MLAs, seeking to stop the village Gavin Newsom (D).Redistribution schemeCongress map of California.
“The petitioner California Constitution Article IV, under Section 8, has failed to meet its burden of establishing a basis for relief at this time,” read a brief order posted in the docket.

Four State Republican MLAs – Sen Tony Strikeland, Sen Sujet Martinez Vallades, Assembly TRAI TAT and Assembly Women Kate Sanchhez – went to the state’s High Court on Tuesday, demanding to effectively block the effort.
The petition demanded to stop Democrats from moving forward by 18 September, which state officials said that it is necessary to prepare for the election on 4 November. The lawyers of the MPs admitted in the court filing that this was the first impression case, but said that the Democrats’ strategy allowed “will be comicingly absurd.”
In a joint statement, the MPs insisted that the court did not explain its decision and said that it is “not the end of the fight.”
“This means that the Commission for Governor Newsom and Democrats, the commission that revives voter-made citizens, silence public inputs, and $ 200+ million plans to stick taxpayers with a $ 200+ million bills,” the statement said.
“We will continue to challenge this unconstitutional power grab in the courts and in the ballot boxes. The people of California are worth impartial, transparent elections, not for the secret backroom deals to protect politicians,” it continued.
