Former President Bush issued a statement on Sunday, expressing his grief over the loss of life in dangerous floods, affecting his home state of Texas.
Bush wrote in a statement, “On this day of prayer, Laura and I are catching my fellow Texas who are hurting.”
“We are heartbroken by the loss of life and feel so much pain,” he continued. “Those who have lost their precious children, they are facing a sorrow, any parents should never know.”
By Sunday afternoon, at least 70 people were confirmed in Central Texas, where search and rescue operations continued to hit the most difficult area from Friday’s floods.

Bush’s statement said, “We are first grateful to the respondents and volunteers, who are working to reduce and relax mourning in camps and Guadalup. We know that our words cannot help, but we believe that we will pray that so many Americans will pray.”
This camp has been a Go-Two Summer Camp for Texas’s daughters, also known as “Mistic Girls” for almost a century, especially among the political elite of the state,According to Texas Tribune.
Former first woman Laura Bush was once a consultant in the camp, where former President Lindon B. Johnson’s daughters, granddaughters and Pardadi also attended.
