On 14 April, the Economic Emergency Act was signed in the law on 14 April after Trump announced his broad tariff on several countries. The government quoted Trump’s tariff as an inspiration for the law.

“In Brazil, freedom of expression should not be confused with aggression or violent practices. All companies – whether domestic or foreign – must follow Brazil’s law to work within our region.”
