Pitt went through a crash course with the McLaren team before his run … even how he would be “retreat from here, here as Downshifting” as they used to see the current McLaren Driver. Lando Noris‘Lap footage.
Talking about, the British superstar was present for the whole thing… and talked with Pitt before going into the car.
Pit was instructed by McLaren Test lead Phil Thomas As he hung it … and after some intervals, he said he was more and more comfortable.
When they gathered again to go to work, Pitt knew well what he could do next time.
“Big balls,” he accepted. “Big balls.”
The crew stated that the pit could improve its braking in the next round … reminding him that mechanics F1 are “incredible” in cars.
Then came the time for the last five laps of Pitt… and he was cruzine – every time he was leaving around a few seconds !!
Once when all this was over, Pitt said that the experience was really peaceful… because he had to be fully present because he was sent to the whole.
Finally, the self-assessment of the pit was that he did not completely exclude the balls-but more “one walnut and a half.”
Pit still has to do some work before catching Noris and Oscar piastry … but hey, this is not his day’s work.
