Died at 44
… after the fight of cancer

Bobby genxA 2x all-star and world series champion with Chicago White Socks died on Friday after a fight with stomach cancer.
He was only 44 years old.
One of the most prominent closters in baseball during his 7 -season Major League baseball career, Jenx revealed during an interview in February 2025 that he was detected a form of Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma – stomach cancer.
From the bed of a hospital in Portugal, where he and his family recently moved, he reported that MLB.com had spread cancer to various parts of his body, including his bones and stomach lining.
Genux said that he did not have health issues after moving forward … and then started declining his energy levels in early 2025. He passed through a battery of tests, and a tumor was discovered.
To make cases worse for the family, they also lost their home in the states, and almost all the goods, which set fire to the pelisades as a victim.
On the baseball ground, Jenx, who had an electric 100+ mph fastball, was known for the personality of his big-to-life … as he was for his dominance on the hill.
It was an important piece of SOX 2005 WS run and was nominated twice for the All-Star team in the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
Genx spent his final season in 2011 as a large league with Boston Red Sox … before retiring as a player.
He then moved to the coach, and even management … Rockies Minor League affiliated, serving as captain for Grand Junction Rockies.
Genx is alive by his six children, and wife, Eleni.
