Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) are pressuring several companies about the sale of AI-powered toys after reports of such items involved inappropriate interactions. “These AI toys – particularly those powered by chatbots incorporated into children’s everyday toys such as plush, dolls and other beloved toys – pose a risk to children’s healthy development,” the senators wrote in the letters.
