Apple might take a new approach to announcing its next products

Apple has Tech press invited on March 4 for a “special Apple experience,” but it may unfold a little differently than the company’s standard press event.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that instead of announcing everything in a single keynote speech, Apple is planning a “three-day flurry of announcements” – possibly announced online, and will conclude with a March 4 “experience”, consisting of three events in New York, London and Shanghai, where press will be given the chance to get hands-on with the upcoming products.

Similarly, John Gruber of Daring Fireball speculated that the experience may “A hands-on thing with a personal demo.”

Apple will reportedly announce at least five new products during that time, including a lower-priced MacBook. Other reported possibilities: iPhone 17e, an iPad Air with an M4 chip, a new entry-level iPad, and an upgraded MacBook Air and new MacBook Pro models. Gurman said all of those products are scheduled to arrive this spring, but he’s less certain about which products will be announced when.
