After a road loss at Marquette to end the regular season, UConn fell to No. 6. Illinois and Virginia rounded out the top 10, followed by Iowa State and Michigan State.
The biggest gains in the survey were St. John’s (five places) and Virginia and Arkansas (three places each). St. Louis and Miami dropped out to make way for Wisconsin and Louisville. Texas Tech fell last (six spots) followed by Purdue (three spots).
Overall, seven of the top 25 teams did not change their positions.
