ACC publicly reprimands Notre Dame coach Micah Shrewsberry

The ACC has publicly reprimanded Micah Shrewsberry following an incident between Notre Dame The coach and an official at the end of the Fighting Irish’s loss California On Friday.

Shortly before the ACC’s announcement, Shrewsbury released his own statement to apologize.

He said, “My actions were inappropriate and do not symbolize the leader I strive to be and what Notre Dame expects of its coaches and teachers.” “I will learn from this lack of judgment and be better in the future. I want to apologize to my team, our university and its leaders, Coach Madsen and his team, and the ACC, as my actions were unacceptable.”

The loss dropped Notre Dame to 10–5 (1–1 ACC), while Cal improved to 13–2 (1–1).
